Welcome Home Charlie!
Around 4 PM last night Tyler and I were finally able to pick Charlie up from the vet. He had his funny collar on so he wasn't able to see us at first, but as soon as I bent his little head down he got really excited to see us. Well, as excited as a drugged up puppy can get. He was really calm for the drive home, I was so grateful Tyler was there to drive so that I could hold him. I could tell he didn't like his collar much so we took it off as soon as we got home. He was pretty out of it the whole night, he hung out with my on the bed while I watched TV (Season 2 of Heros...awesome show!). Around 11 we got ready for bed and had to put his collar back on and I set him on his favorite blanket to sleep. Normally he prefers sleeping on the floor. Last night was different, he whimpered on and off for about three hours, around 2 AM I let him back up on the bed and he found a nice spot in between Tyler and I. Around 4 AM he woke up and was panting, I figured he was pretty thirsty so I gave him some water and tried to make him comfortable. At 6 AM he woke up with Ty and went downstairs for his medicine, then back up to bed with me. So, he had a pretty restless sleep last night. As soon as I took his collar off this morning he was so excited, and was finally able to get some proper rest. He has been out of it all day, but seems to be doing well. I hope he will back to his usual self soon.
