Our area has been lifted from the mandatory evacuation, so we have gratefully returned home. Once home I went around and hugged everything we owned, it was such a relief to see all our things again. We are keeping our "emergency" things packed and ready to go, just in case. Thanks to everyone for all their prayers and support, we couldn't have gotten through this without your help.
It's good to be home!

San Diego is Burning!
If you've seen the news today you'll see that San Diego County is burning and there are several areas under mandatory evacuation. Last night around midnight Kath and I went and gassed up the car, got some cash out, and got all of our important documents together. This morning aroung 0600 we knew that we better get out of the area. The neighborhoods about 5 miles east of us have been evacuated and we're under a voluntary evacaution. We left at about 0700 in order to beat the traffic into San Diego. Escondido, a city a few miles up I-15 and Rancho Bernardo, have both been evacuated and it looks like our area is next. So Kath and I got all of our important things in our car and drove into San Diego to stay with the Jefferies. On a more ironic note, my friend who lives in our same complex didn't have his home owners policy in place yet called his insurer last night to set it up but it doesn't take effect until midnight tonight!!

Moving....
We're finally in our house! We found out late Friday night that we had closed, and began moving in on Saturday. We have our fridge and washer/dryer ordered and should be delivered tomorrow. The rest of our household goods are coming on Thursday! We're trying to get all the painting done before then, so wish us luck. For the next few weeks we probably wont have Internet, I will try and get to the library as much as I can to keep our exciting blog going and also to put some pictures of our new place on here. Talk to you soon!
